Heraldry
The emblem of the Banda Municipal de Santa Cruz is constituted by a golden lira, with inscription of the date of foundation in white in the foot, of black color, from where spring a branch of vines and, on the right, a branch of another vegetation, with purple fruits; to the center of the lira stands out the coat of arms of the municipality, constituted by silver cruise in shield of green, in chief, two clusters of purple grapes, under gold vines, loaded by the corner of the Arms of Portugal; on the top of the shield, a mural crown of five silver towers – which represents a town with a city seat – and, at the base of it, a green listel, with a black inscription on two lines of the name and date of the foundation of the philharmonic.
