Foundation
The Grupo Musical de Nossa Senhora de Fátima or MGrupo Musical do Arco de São Jorge, coinciding with its first public performance, would be transformed by the initiative of its founder in the School Nossa Senhora de Fátima do Arco de S. Jorge in October 13, 1933. (Madeiran Musicians p. 488 and Xarabanda Revista 2008 p. 12)

Conductor Manuel Viera.
The Artistic Direction of the Band was delivered to Manuel Vieira in the 50’s, popularly known as conductor Vieira, ex-military.

Admission of women in the band
It was in the 80’s that the band opened its doors to female apprentices.

Legal form
The School Banda Nossa Senhora de Fátima do S. Jorge Arch, assumes legal form with the denomination of Associação Recreativa de Nossa Senhora de Fátima do Arco de São Jorge on July 16, 1986. (Madeiran Musicians, p. 488)

New head office
Santana Municipal Council in 1987, offers a room for the Band in the Parish Council building. (Xarabanda Revista 8, p. 38)

Participation in Expo’98
Participation in the day of the Autonomous Region of Madeira in Expo’98, in Lisbon.

New head office
The Band was installed in the Civic Center of the Arco de São Jorge on February 16, 2005.
