Heraldry
The emblem of the Banda Paroquial de São Lourenço has a red and white fringed background, colors that represent, respectively, the blood shed by the martyr and his holiness. Under the grate, instrument of martyrdom, and palm, symbol of the victory of São Lourenço, stands the lyre of three chords (chelys), golden, ornamented, in the arms, with branches of vegetation. At the top, a strip of white background, bordered in blue, with the denomination “BANDA PAROQUIAL DE SÃO LOURENÇO” and at the base, a new strip of white background, inside out, with blue inscription of the date and place of the foundation of the institution “CAMACHA 10-8-1973 Madeira”.
