As Bandas da Ponta do Sol
5.00€We can never say that the band from Ponta do Sol was one of the first in Madeira. When this group was founded, there were already 10 bands, four in Funchal and the rest distributed by our rural environment. The Banda da Ponta do Sol appeared on December 1, 1882, with the support of an important family and considered as patrons of this collectivity – the Wilbrahan. Firstly, the band was called Restauração and, soon after, Prince D’Odemburg. It had a great history until almost to our days, because they decided to maintain its name, even being Municipal Band from 1944.

5.00€Founded on August 10, 1973, by the Reverend Father António Joaquim Figueira Pestana Martinho, the Parish Band of São Lourenço da Camacha, had in this man, all the effort and the whole idea of forming the collectivity. Determined and determined he managed to achieve his dream – to form a Parish band.
