Biography:
Son of José Manuel de Jesus Andrade and Maria Encarnação Macedo Faria Andrade, José Maurício Faria Andrade was born on February 18, 1984, a native of Ribeira Brava.
Born in Ribeira Brava, Maurício Andrade started his career in music with 7 years old at the municipal philharmonic of this locality, following the footsteps of his father, performing in this harmony. In 1993 he enrolled as a clarinet in the Conservatory of Music of Madeira, having concluded in 2000 the 6th grade.
A graduate in electronics engineering and communications from the University of Aveiro, Maurício Andrade is a civil servant in the telecommunications sector of Electricidade da Madeira.
Having started his activity as a trainer in the Banda Municipal da Ribeira Brava in 2010, in 2013 Maurício Andrade took care of the artistic direction of the community where he has served as a performer since 1992. From his artistic production stands out small arrangements band and the contemporary anniversary march for the Banda Municipal da Ribeira Brava.
