Flag – Banda Distrital do Funchal
The flag, in white fabric, rectangular in shape, takes to the center a golden ring, superimposed on a blue background and with the denomination, in yellow, “Philarmonica Artistico-Madeirense”, being inscribed below, in black, in the lower part of the ring, the date of foundation, “Founded in 09-IX-1872”. Supported on the upper right of the ring, the image of the celestial guardian and fighter and winner of the forms of evil, São Miguel Arcanjo, angel and patron of Portugal and patron of police and military officers. The initial designation of the institution “Real Philarmonica Artistico-Madeirense” appears in the lower part of the ring. At the base, two human figures: on the left a female figure in blue robes, who plays trumpet and holds a cello, and to the right, a figure in robes, in the lower part of the body, in the same color, playing a lyre. The flag is raised on wooden rod.
